Jay.. like his name is prime, divisible by very few things... one and himself.
who is this one, that can break Jay down? make the inconstance in him settle?

He has traded and become master of many trades: Poetry, Graphics, Secret languages of Morse and Music, Story telling and Songwriting, Photography and Film making? To say he excels in them is meaningless because he is not the seeker of competence, he is not even wooing excellence. He is simply married to his infatuations.. Like rays of sun upon a magnifying glass, they seem to converge on the burning vision of truth. A little fire which can smoulder the paper in the sun with a ray of sun or two.

This son of Indian army officer,
born after much prayer, named after victory itself "Jay"
that pride of every soldier fighting with his life behind a bayonet.
Why then he sounds like a water bird?
A transparent Jay who swallowed the rainbow whole?

For him, Poetry was born.. to clothe in words and bare in feeling.
For him that writer of light, who can in ordinary focal lengths find faces that our own mirrors fail to
reveal, was created the "Camera Obscura" of yore and the camera of today.
For him is the music and for him the song.

Film Maker
Jay did his MCmS.. Masters in Communication Studies from the University of Pune, India in the year 2001. His Project  “Traveling in a cage” a short film on Dilip Chitre was awarded Citation as best students film of year 2001 by UGC-CEC. Since then he has been making Documentary  and Corporate films for Software Companies, Factories and Industries. His film “Allegory of Hunger” raises questions.. Is Desire the gravest of all problems? Can it be conquered by Will ? 

Photographer
A self taught photographer jay got recognition with his first photography exhibition at India art gallery,
Pune in 2006. Along with Fine Art Photography, very soon he specialized and established himself as
an ace Photographer in the field of Fashion, Corporate, Industrial and Interiors Photography.

Poet, Composer and Singer
A born Poet, he writes in three languages Hindi, English and Marathi. Jay has music flowing in his family. He is a percussionist and plays Dhol, Tabla, Congo, Drums along with Guitar and Flute.
Jay ji is all set to launch his debut music album written composed and sung by himself.

Art Curator 
He established “Aperture India” an online and off line art gallery at Pune, India in the year 2007 with a vision to promote art and aesthetics among masses. Aperture India has gained tremendous recognition not only in Maharashtra but all over India and has evolved to become the treasure chest of Indian contemporary art, Photography and Music.

Actor
As Jay ji says “I can’t Act, I can only live different lives”  Its his passion to perform various characters in real life and on stage. He has acted in films produced by FTII and DCS and has given noticeable performances in films like “An autumn in transit” “Down the memory lane” “Ruhi” He is also involved in doing Hindi theatre with Swatantra group based in Pune.

Artist and Designer
jay ji developed the basics of sketching under the guidance of late Shri Pratap Mulick.
His unerring sense of layout and composition has turned his interest into profession.
He has studied and works in Photoshop and Coral Draw. He loves to design Corporate brochures, Logos, Calenders and Hoardings.
